The ceremony to commend ethnic minority students for their excellent study in 2016

On the afternoon of November 5, in Hanoi, “The ceremony to commend for excellent students from ethnic minorities in 2016” was organized by the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs in collaboration with relevant agencies. 137 excellent ethnic minority students, from all over the country, were honored this time.

The ceremony was attended by leaders of the Party, State, Government, National Assembly and ministries.

The ceremony to honor excellent students from ethnic minorities is an annual program (this is the 6th time), chaired by the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, to honor the exemplary students of mountainous ethnic minorities with courage and will to overcome difficulties in learning and in life, winning high prizes in national and international competitions for excellent students and passing valedictorian, high scores in university and college entrance exams.
In this event, a special session was held to send gifts to 137 ethnic students. The gifts with a total value of 200 million VND were rewarded by Korean companies such as G-Tech Vietnam, Viet – Han Times, Thanh Cong Textile Garment- Investment- Trading J.S.C , JS Vina , July Star Vietnam

According to the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, over the past time, education and training work in ethnic minority and mountainous areas has achieved many important achievements in raising people’s knowledge, training human resources, fostering human resources. talents, the emulation movement “good teaching, good learning” is always concerned. In recent years, along with the quality of comprehensive education has been improved, spearhead education for students in ethnic minority and mountainous areas has also continued to be strengthened.

He added, the Government of Vietnam supports various programs with high regard for ethnic minorities living in difficult environments, mainly in mountainous areas. In particular, it is very important to educate young people who will have a future. At the same time, I appreciate the sponsorship participation of Korean companies in this scholarship program.
